Genetic Variability, Correlation and Path Analysis in Mung Bean Genotypes (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek): An Experimental Investigation

نویسندگان

چکیده

Mung bean (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek) is one of the most important pulse crops due to high content protein as well ability nitrogen fixation in soil. Seed yield complex trait which highly influenced by other traits and also environment. In this view, study was aimed evaluate relationship between attributing sixty genotypes bean. The exhibited significant variability respect all fourteen quantitative characters studied. Genetic studies showed presence good amount variation among genotypes. Highest PCV GCV recorded seed followed number seeds per plant primary branch length. characters, plant, length, biological yield, harvest index, 100 weight, pods clusters height branches had shown heritability coupled with genetic advance percent mean. positive correlation pod pod, index at both phenotypic genotypic levels. Path analysis that were for improvement.

Mung Bean (Vigna radiata) Seedlings'

Two forms of Fd-NADP+ oxidoreductase (FNR) isoproteins have been purified and characterized from the first foliage leaves of 5d-old mung bean (Vigna radiata). They could be separated by either Mono Q HR 515 or ferredoxin (Fd)-Sepharose 48 affinity columns. Based on immunoblot analysis and N-terminal amino acid sequences, one form resembles the FNR purified from photosynthetic tissues of higher ...

Low Temperature-Induced Cytoplasmic Acidosis in Cultured Mung Bean (Vigna radiata [L.] Wilczek) Cells.

Cold-induced changes in vivo in the cytoplasmic pH of suspension-cultured cells of mung bean (Vigna radiata [L.] Wilczek) were investigated by fluorescence-ratio imaging cryomicroscopy with special reference to the variations in the chilling sensitivity of cells during the growth cycle. Because of the preferential localization of the fluorophore in the cytoplasm under specified conditions and t...

Arsenic-induced oxidative stress and its reversal by thiourea in mung bean (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek.) genotype

A pot culture experiment was conducted in mung bean (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek.) genotype PUSA Baisakhi to test the effect of sodium arsenate and thiourea (TU). Arsenic at 25 μM caused significant inhibition of growth as indicated by reduced shoot and root dry weight and reduction in photosynthetic capacity. Significant decline in ascorbate peroxidase, dehydroascorbate reductase and glutathion...

GENETIC DIVESITY AND MOLECULAR CHARACTERIZATION OF MUNGBEAN GENOTYPES (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek)

The present investigation was undertaken to examine the genetic divergence in 50 mungbean germplasm lines for 13 characters using Mahalanobis D statistics. The genotypes grouped into eight clusters. Cluster VII had maximum intra-cluster distance while inter-cluster distance was highest between clusters V and VII. Cluster means indicated that none of the clusters was superior for all the charact...

Essential Arginyl Residues in the Plasma Membrane H + - ATPase from Vigna radiata L . ( Mung Bean ) Roots '

Proton-translocating ATPase (H+-ATPase) was purified from mung bean (Vigna radiata L.) roots. Treatment of this enzyme with the argininespecific reagent 2,3-butanedione in the presence of borate at 37°C (pH 7.0), caused a marked decrease in its activity. Under this condition, halfmaximal inhibition was brought about by 20 millimolar 2,3-butanedione at 12 minutes. MgATP and MgADP, the physiologi...
